First time eating here, as we had a gift card and were in town for our son’s hockey games. We absolutely loved it! I’m already craving more and wanting to go back. My son said the tacos del Mar were the best tacos he’s ever had, and he’s had A LOT of tacos! The roasted salsa has more flavor than heat which I really appreciate. I had the mouthwatering chilaquiles with rice and refried beans. The beans were on point. The decor was rustic and stylish, all the food was plated and presented beautifully. Our server was new and she was delightful. Highly recommend!!
I would come here EVERY day for the Smoked Chicken Enchiladas. They are to DIE for. The chicken is juicy and the sauce is perfect and very tasteful! Being that this was my first time here, I asked my server Freddie what he recommended, and the Grilled Ribeye Steak tacos are AMAZING! I would definitely be coming back I was originally going to take the food to go, but decided to stay, and I'm glad I did, because I got a Steve A Rita too
I’m coming back. Again and again. Best marg in mesa, delicious food and wonderful service. Nothing bad to say. I have had Los sombreros in Scottsdale and this one sort of beat it. Huge fan now. The atmosphere and vibe is wonderful. Go here!
Stopped in Saturday afternoon for salad and chips/Salsa. It was our first time at this location as we normally patronize the Scottsdale location. The food was fresh, the atmosphere was just right. Nicole (our server) was quick and attentive. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
I am editing my review to add that Dillon, who was serving us at the restaurant is absolutely an awesome addition to the staff. He was pleasant, professional and very attentive to our needs and we did not have to ask for anything. Five star for him. We just found this place by chance the other day and since then been there twice already. The staff are well versed, pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere and music is modern and romantic at the same time. Now the food is delicious and flavorful. We were pleasantly surprised that unlike other Latin cuisines, at this restaurant vegetarian means 100% vegetarian and thank you for it. Definitely will recommend this place to everyone.
We had a lovely time at Los Sombreros! The food was fantastic - we started with the crepe app and it was amazing - the BF had the lamb shank and I had sea bass. It was all beautifully prepared and had wonderful flavors. They do not follow standard Mexican food flavoring - they have their own flair and infuse the food with deliciousness! Our server, Todd was awesome but forgot a few things and I had to ask for water several times. He also forgot our additional order of salsa so we will need to go back. (OH DARN). lol They seemed to drop the ball so we have not been as frequent visitors but this visit was outstanding!
This was a very pleasant place. It was a calm and relaxed atmosphere with our group. The music volume was just right and the tables were clean. The waiter did a good job preparing us for what to expect with the food, it was authentic so it's slightly different from the "Americanized" versions of Mexican food you may know. Great service, great food. We spent about 110 between the four of us with 4 entres and 2 desserts.
One of the best Mexican food serving restaurant. Chips, salsa, potato tacos, and smoked chicken enchiladas were outstanding. Overall, a well maintained restaurant with great customer service. I would certainly stop here for a meal if visiting the area in future. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.
